Larry Ambrose, known to many in North and West Denver for his work with the Sloan’s Lake Neighborhood Association, Inter-Neighborhood Cooperation, and other neighborhood efforts, passed away from cancer at the age of 76. Ambrose, who lived across from Sloan’s Lake, was a persistent presence on development and park issues in the community. The Denver North Star spoke with Ambrose’s family and close friends, who said they are gathering their and community members’ tributes to Larry, which will appear in next month’s issue.
