Medicines of the Black American Captive with Community Herbalist Monticue Connally

February 22, 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Enslaved Africans survived in the harshest of conditions without the resources of their oppressors. How did they survive? Herbs! Enslaved communities had people within them who had knowledge of the healing powers of plants. Come and learn about these plants, how slaves used them, and how you can use them today.https://www.denverlibrary.org/event/medicines-black-american-captive
