21st Annual Mutts and Models Canine & Celebrity Fashion Show

Mutts and Models is Denver’s Premier Canine & Celebrity Fashion Show and Colorado’s original “black collar” event. Celebrating its 21st anniversary, this year’s Mutts and Models fashion show is starring “The Real Housedogs of Colorado.”Local philanthropists, celebrities, and media personalities will be strutting the runway alongside their dogs to raise funds for Pepper’s Senior Dog Sanctuary (PSDS). Dubbed Denver’s most “fur-tastic” fun party of the year, Mutts and Models will take place on Saturday, October 7th, starting at 6:00 p.m. at Reelworks RiNo Arts District at 1399 35th St., Denver, Colorado, 80205.
Event guests can bid on live and silent auction items while enjoying drinks, appetizers, and a three-course seated dinner and fashion show. Event Co-Chairs Lisa Conner, Jesse Ogas, Andi Leahey, Honorary Chairs Brandis Becky, Martha Kelce, Mandy Nadler, and Mackenzie Paranto will highlight the work done at PSDS during the fundraising program. Proceeds from the Mutts and Models event benefit Pepper’s Senior Dog Sanctuary, where senior dogs are given a compassionate, forever home at a family-operated, veterinarian-supervised, 50-acre farmland in Littleton, Colorado.
PSDS is a leading “dog retirement community” for canines to live and be cared for until the last day of their lives. PSDS only adopts dogs from area shelters and rescues to help ease overcrowding. Amenities and enrichments include small group and one-on-one care; enormous spaces to play, lounge, and sleep by the kiddie pool; individual bedroom suites; professionally trained staff and volunteers; and dedicated physical therapy and medical care, including hospice care. Unfortunately, the ASPCA estimates that 670,000 dogs in U.S. shelters are euthanized annually. Sadly, many senior and special needs dogs are prematurely and unnecessarily euthanized. PSDS provides a “fur-ever” home for senior dogs to live out their days comfortably and with dignity while having fun with the rest of the pack.
