Soul Line Dancing at Little Man Ice Cream

The Little Man Ice Cream Factory is celebrating the conclusion of Black History Month on Sunday, February 26 from 5-7 p.m. with the joy and exuberance of Soul Line Dancing. Borrowed from the historical tradition of African American Social Dances that provided salve to slaves, and brought communities together post-emancipation, Soul Line Dancing has swelled in popularity over the last two decades.Freddie “Chicago” Edmonds and his wife, Lisa, founded Denversoul Linedancers as a way of bringing community together with their own blend of urban line dancing and Chicago Steppin’. Think Smoky Robinson or Quincy Jones to get you in the mood. People of all ages enjoy the smooth moves Edmonds specializes in. Their motto is, “Dance for FUN! Exercise for HEALTH!”
Join the fun at the Little Man Factory, 4411 W. Colfax, on Sunday, February 26, from 5-7PM for a celebration of dance, movement, and community. The event is free to attend and open to all levels. No prior dance experience is required. Come dance!!!
