Music and a celebration of the neighborhood will be featured at the Highlands Street Fair, which returns this year on June 25 at Highland Square along West 32nd Avenue.
Last year the event was moved to August, but it has returned to its traditional June date. Kristen Horpedahl Slater, the event coordinator, said events and performances were handled a bit more delicately last year as the COVID-19 pandemic continued to force restrictions.
“We had things a bit more spaced out. We were careful about what kind of kids activities we did,” Slater said. “So we’re excited to kind of have it be back to normal, knock on wood.”
The event is free to access, and there will be food for purchase.
“We have a couple of new local bands,” Slater said. “We’ll have two stages at Highland Street Fair, games, and a bunch of kids activities.”
An updated list of performances is available at highlandsstreetfair.com.
